It is easy to go from one thing to the next without really feeling present, but adding just a few minutes of intentional rituals to your day can shift everything. You do not need to be a mystic or spend an hour meditating.
These spiritual rituals are small, practical, and possible, even if you are short on time.
1. Start the Morning with Stillness
Before checking your phone, before scrolling, just be. Sit still. Breathe. Relax. If you like using candles, light a morning intention candle.
2. Pull a Daily Tarot or Oracle Card
Pull one card a day for insight. The Light Seer’s Tarot Deck is great for beginners.
3. Sip Something With Intention
Instead of gulping your coffee, try tasting it. Let it be your moment of mindfulness. Try tasting an Organic calming herbal tea for grounding energy.
4. Set a Daily Intention
A few words can guide your day. I am calm. I speak kindly. I let go. You can write your intention in a guided intention journal to help you remember your intentions and follow through with it.
5. Light a Candle or Burn Incense
Change the mood of your space with fire and scent. The smell tells your brain that this is sacred time, even if it’s for 10 minutes.
Using Soy candles or Palo Santo sticks work great.
6. Do a 5 Minute Energy Cleanse
Rub your hands together, take a deep breath, and wipe your hands down your body. It clears more than you think.
A few sprays of aura cleansing mist can help too.
7. Journal Whatever’s on Your Mind
Get it out of your head! Write what’s on your mind and onto paper. Try using a self discovery journal it has great prompts to get you started.
8. Read One Paragraph of Something Meaningful
If you do not have time to read, just read one paragraph of something positive.
A good book that you can read is The Untethered Soul or When Things Fall Apart by Pima Chodron.
9. Feel Nature
Step outside. Water your plant. Let your feet touch the earth.
An Indoor plant starter kit or grounding mat are great to use if you are indoors a lot.
10. Say Thank You Before Bed
Gratitude is a powerful ending to the day. Say your thanks out loud. Whisper it. Think it. Just do not skip it. Keep a gratitude journal on your nightstand for a quick end of day ritual.
It’s Not About Perfection It’s About Presence
You do not need to do all 10 rituals daily. Just choose one or two, and make them part of your life. These simple practices, when repeated, can help you feel more peaceful, and more grounded.
